The Production Supervisor oversee technicians and administrative personnel, in the service department. The incumbent must assess the work to be done on inventory vehicles as they are received by the company, prior to work being performed. The incumbent will prepare estimates and service orders in the system and prioritize and schedule the trucks to be serviced, as well as assign the appropriate technicians for the work to be done..

The Production Supervisor must monitor the work of technicians to ensure that it is on schedule, and work with the back counter parts personnel to ensure all parts needed for the job are available in a timely manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage technicians, shop attendants, and their training.
  • Manage parts inventory.
  • Ensure maximum profitability and production throughput
  • Complete quality checks and documentation of all completed work before delivery to customer
  • Comply with safety and EPA procedures and regulation

Painter/Detailer

Painter/detailers are responsible for preparing the vehicle for painting, such as through sanding. Painters/detailers are required to efficiently finish paint jobs using all paint types, painting vehicle surfaces with spray paint equipment, power tools, and other relevant equipment. They also must be able to mix paint colors to get the customer’s desired color for each order. Additionally, painters/detailers are responsible for cleaning and maintaining the paint gun and other work equipment.

This is a physically demanding job that requires substantial standing, walking, stooping, bending, and other motions. Respirators must be worn, as there is frequent exposure to toxic chemicals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Requirements for painters/detailers typically include a high school diploma or equivalent with preferably one year of automotive painting experience and/or training. The incumbent must also have good vision and the ability to discern colors to provide quality work. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are also required, as is attention to detail.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Use primer, lacquer, resin, or other materials to paint surfaces of automotive units.

  • Remove dirt or grease from vehicle surfaces and prepare the vehicle for painting.
  • Remove old paint via a liquid paint remover, scraper, or other techniques.
  • Comply with safety and EPA procedures and regulations
  • Any other jobs as requested at the discretion of the Company

The Back Counter Parts person assists company service technicians fulfilling parts needs for repair work, including ordering parts if the part is not in stock. The counter person will be responsible for expediting parts orders and searching multiple vendors to find suitable parts and the most economical method to obtain the parts in order to meet production schedules for the service department.

A parts counterman is tasked with monitoring inventory and placing restock orders for commonly used parts. They perform these duties under the supervision of the Parts Manager.

The parts counterman is expected to be able to accurately identify parts and help the technicians with their requests. This position acts as a liaison between the parts department and service department to ensure production schedules are met. Experience with heavy truck parts is necessary and previous dealership experience is beneficial

Job Purpose:
To answer customer questions, generate new garbage truck sales leads, and provide superior customer service to existing customers.

Duties:

  • Maintain and create strong relationship with customers.
  • Generate new truck sales leads through extensive cold-calling.
  • Ability to answer detailed information about the vehicles for the customer to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Various responsibilities as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
Outside sales experience, prefer experience and knowledge of selling Garbage trucks, roll-off trucks and/or grapple trucks, Ability to Close a Sale, Reliability, Loyalty and Strong Ethics are a must!

We have immediate opportunities for Outside Parts Sales Representatives in Tampa Florida. We are seeking a candidate with high energy and attention to detail in serving the customer. As and Outside Parts Sales Representative you will identify new opportunities and follow up on potential leads while working hand in hand with our Parts Department in a teamwork environment while adhering to the company’s Core Values.

  • Maintain a high degree of heavy duty truck parts knowledge.

RDK Truck Sales is looking to fill a position in our Parts Sales department. Must have experience selling parts in the Garbage/Refuse Truck industry.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Communicating parts needs and concerns with customers and service department.
  • Ordering, receiving and distributing parts in a timely manner to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Selling additional parts/service to customers in order to maximize profits.
  • Preparation, collection and posting of invoices.
  • Compile estimates for parts, shipping and any other expenses associated with the customer’s request.
  • Willing to do telemarketing/cold calling to company database supplied customers and prospects for parts sales as needed.
