The Short Version

  • We collect what you choose to send us through our forms, phone, text, and email, such as your name, email, phone number, and your message.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand how people use our websites, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising to show our ads to people who have visited our websites or done business with us. Both use cookies or similar technology.
  • We use your information to answer your requests, serve you as a customer, and run our business.
  • We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of Meta advertising counts as “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some state laws, and you can opt out.
  • You can unsubscribe from our emails or texts at any time, and you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information.
  • California residents and residents of other states with privacy laws have additional rights, explained below.

1.Who We Are

RDK Assets, Inc., doing business as RDK Truck Sales (“RDK,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is a truck dealership based at 3214 E Adamo Drive, Tampa, Florida 33605. We sell, lease, rent, and service refuse, roll-off, and other vocational trucks, and we sell parts.

This Privacy Policy applies to all of our websites: www.rdk.com, www.rdkgov.com, www.rolloff.com, and www.dirtcheaptrucksales.com (each a “Site,” together the “Sites”). It explains how we handle information collected through the Sites, through text messages, and when you contact us by phone or email. By using the Sites, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites.

When you buy, lease, rent, finance, or service a truck with us, the information needed for that transaction is also governed by the agreements and notices you receive at that time.

2.Information We Collect

Information you give us

You choose what to share with us. Depending on how you contact us, this may include:

  • Contact and quote requests: your name, email address, phone number, the type of request, and your message.
  • Email sign-ups: your email address, your name, and the type of operation you run.
  • Text messages: your mobile phone number, your consent to receive texts, and the content of messages you send us.
  • Phone calls and emails: whatever you tell us, such as your company name, the trucks or parts you need, and the details of your fleet.

Information collected automatically

When you visit a Site, some information is collected automatically:

  • Usage information: the pages you view, how long you stay, the links you click, and the site that referred you.
  • Device information: your browser type, device type, operating system, and screen size.
  • Approximate location: your general area (such as city or region), estimated from your IP address. We do not collect your precise location.
  • Advertising information: when Meta advertising tools are active on a Site, information about your visit, such as the pages you view and the actions you take, along with cookie and device identifiers. See Cookies & Analytics.
  • Server logs: our hosting providers keep standard technical logs, which include your IP address, to deliver and secure the Sites.

See Cookies & Analytics for details.

3.How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Answer your questions and respond to quote, lease, rental, parts, and service requests.
  • Provide the products and services you ask for, and follow up on them.
  • Send emails and text messages you signed up for, such as service bulletins, inventory updates, appointment reminders, and news.
  • Understand how visitors use the Sites so we can improve them.
  • Show you RDK ads on Facebook and Instagram, and measure how well our ads work.
  • Keep the Sites secure and prevent spam, fraud, and misuse.
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and enforce our agreements.

4.Cookies & Analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use Google Analytics 4, a service from Google, to measure how the Sites are used. It sets these cookies:

CookieProviderPurposeExpires
_ga Google Analytics Tells one visitor apart from another so we can count visits. 2 years
_ga_<ID> Google Analytics Keeps track of your current visit (session). 2 years

Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. You can learn more at how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising cookies (Meta)

We use advertising tools from Meta Platforms, Inc., which runs Facebook and Instagram, to show our ads to people who have visited our Sites or done business with us (often called “retargeting”) and to measure how well those ads work. These tools may include:

  • The Meta Pixel and Conversions API, which send Meta information about your visit, such as the pages you view and forms you submit, along with cookie and device identifiers. The Meta Pixel sets cookies such as _fbp, which lasts about 90 days.
  • Customer lists, where we give Meta contact information, such as email addresses or phone numbers, in hashed (scrambled) form so Meta can match it to Facebook and Instagram users and show them our ads.

Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy. You can opt out as described in Opting Out of Targeted Advertising.

Embedded videos and forms

Some pages include videos hosted by YouTube and forms provided by Fillout. When those load or you use them, YouTube and Fillout may set their own cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies.

Managing cookies and browser signals

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block cookies, the Sites will still work, but our analytics will not count your visit and our advertising tools will not recognize your browser.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sharing and targeted advertising for that browser, and our Meta advertising tools will not run for it. The Sites do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals, which have no common standard.

5.How We Share Information

We disclose personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers that help us run the Sites and our business, such as website hosting (Vercel), image hosting (ImageKit), online forms (Fillout), analytics (Google), and email and text-message delivery. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Advertising partners: Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram), as described in Cookies & Analytics, to show you our ads and measure their results.
  • Manufacturers, lenders, leasing companies, and upfitters when you ask us to arrange a purchase, financing, lease, warranty, or repair that involves them.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with the law, a court order, or a government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RDK, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers: if RDK is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
  • With your permission: any other time you ask us to or agree to it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Our use of Meta advertising is considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law, and “targeted advertising” (and in some states a “sale”) under other state laws. You can opt out at any time.

6.Marketing Emails

If you sign up for our emails or do business with us, we may send you service bulletins, inventory updates, and other news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email our privacy team or call us to be removed. Even after you unsubscribe, we may still contact you about a request you made or a transaction you are part of.

If you give us your phone number, we may call you about your request.

7.Text Messages

We send text messages only to people who have agreed to receive them. If you opt in, we may text you about your inquiries, quotes, orders, service appointments, and, if you agree to them, promotions and inventory updates.

  • Consent is optional. You do not have to agree to receive texts to buy anything from us.
  • Frequency varies based on your requests and the programs you join.
  • Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
  • To stop texts, reply STOP to any message. You will get one final message confirming you are unsubscribed. To start again, reply START.
  • For help, reply HELP or call us at (813) 241-0711.
  • Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share your mobile phone number or text-message opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers that deliver our messages, and they may use it only for that purpose.

8.Data Retention & Security

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, for example while you are a customer or while we are working on your request, and as long as the law requires us to keep business records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No website or online transmission is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or driver’s license numbers, through our website forms, by text, or by regular email.

9.Your Choices & Rights

Wherever you live, you can contact us to:

  • Ask what personal information we have about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your information, unless we need to keep it to finish a transaction, meet a legal obligation, or for another lawful reason.
  • Stop receiving marketing emails or text messages.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and the sharing of your information with Meta.

Residents of California and certain other states have additional rights under state law. See California Privacy Rights and Other State Privacy Rights.

Opting Out of Targeted Advertising (Your Privacy Choices)

You can opt out of the sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, which some laws also call a “sale,” in any of these ways:

  • Email our privacy team with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” Include the email address and phone number you have given us so we can remove them from the customer lists we share with Meta.
  • Call toll-free (888) 735-8789.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it. This opts out that browser on our Sites.

You can also limit ads in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences, and opt out of interest-based ads from many companies through the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page. These tools are run by others and work separately from your request to us.

We will act on an opt-out request as soon as we can, and no later than 15 business days after we receive it. You do not need to verify your identity to opt out.

How to make a request

To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by matching the details you give us with the information we already have. We may ask for more information if needed. We will respond within 45 days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days as the law allows.

You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We may ask the agent for proof of your signed permission, and ask you to verify your identity directly with us.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. That means we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or give you a different level of service because you made a request.
